Welcome, teachers!

I’m over the moon that your school has chosen me as their photographer.

Teachers are incredibly vital to our world and I’m honored to capture you in this important role.

Get ready for an easy, quick session and beautiful photos of your lovely faces.

Styling

Clothing

All photos will be headshots from the waist up.

I have three easy guidelines to remember:

  1. Choose a color scheme for your team to create unity in the photos and wear a top that’s slightly dressier than your everyday wear.

  2. Avoid busy prints, logos, graphics, and words on clothing. The eye will be distracted by that.

  3. Wear something that you love and makes you feel good about yourself. Many people wear clothes they already have.

Make-up

Keep it light and soft, and whatever is comfortable for you. If you’re not a make-up wearer, light color on the cheeks and lips will brighten your look.

Hair

Again, whatever is natural and comfortable for you! If you’re undecided abut wearing your hair up or down, down and around the face is a better choice.

Session

During the session

Please know that I do not use professional models in any of my work. I photograph everyday, beautiful people. I will direct you all throughout the session. It’s perfectly natural to feel nervous or uncomfortable in front of the camera. I’ll talk to you, make jokes, have you take deep breaths or shake the stiffness out of your pose. My clients end up having a pretty good time during the session!

When it’s your turn to be photographed, let me know if there are any details that will help me make the best photos of you. For example, your favorite angle or smile type.

Your images

The gallery will be emailed to your school contact within two weeks for download with print release. Each teacher will have at least two poses, in both color and black and white.

Details

There are no guarantees to the poses or shots we capture. Reshoots will not be given for client wardrobe, hair, makeup and appearance.

My goal is to photograph the best version of you, but I don't do "photoshopping" to make someone appear thinner or change features. I use great light to create a beautiful photo, and will remove blemishes and soften lines and wrinkles if needed. Your photos will look like you, just as beautiful as you already are. I cull and edit at my discretion.
